XAUUSD · Gold only · TradingView · Lifetime

Most gold traders are guessing at wicks.
I stopped. 75% of my winners had the same trait.

This is not a forex toy and it is not a multi-pair pack. Precision Wick Displacement is built for XAUUSD — gold. One market. One map. The strong break, the retest, the reclaim, and the 50 / 100 / 200 filter I will not break.

75%

of my winning gold trades over three years followed a strong wick-displacement break

That is my own XAUUSD history, on my own capital. Not a typical result. Not a promise you will match it. Past trades do not guarantee future profits.

You already know this pain on gold

You see a wick. You chase it. Gold runs fifteen dollars the other way.

You sell because the candle “looks weak” — while price is still sitting on top of the 200.

You have no rule for when the break is real, when it is a sweep, and when the whole idea is dead.

That hesitation is not a personality flaw. It is a missing map. Gold punishes a missing map faster than anything else you trade.

Over three years I went back through my own XAUUSD winners. Seventy of those winning gold trades carried the same trait: a strong break defined by wick displacement — not a hunch, not a moving-average cross, not a YouTube pattern name. The body closed a full D beyond the wick. Then I waited for the retest. That is the entire edge I kept.

What a strong break looks like on gold

D is the wick beyond the body. A sweep takes the level and fails. A strong break is a 1H body that closes another full D past that wick. That is 2×D from the body. Until the 1H closes, the line stays dotted. I do not guess mid-bar on XAUUSD.

2xD: one D is the wick, one more D past the wick is the strong break close

From the body edge, one D is the wick. One more D past the wick is the close that counts. That is the whole difference between chasing a wick and waiting for a break.

How a WDB level is built: wick extreme, body edge, and 2xD threshold

The teal line sits on the body. The black line sits on the wick tip. The red line sits the same distance beyond the wick. Same yardstick, both sides of L.

Sweep versus strong break versus reclaim on gold

Three events. Sweep: wick only. Strong break: body through the red line. Reclaim: body back through the teal line. Bodies confirm. Wicks only warn.

XAUUSD below the 50, 100 and 200 moving averages with a displacement wick

On the live gold chart. Price under the 50, 100 and 200. That is the only location I will sell. A pretty wick above the stack is not a sell.

How I get in — the retest, not the spike

The break tells me the side. I do not market-sell the close. I wait for gold to come back and tag the underside of the level. That retest is the entry. Stop lives the other side of the level. If a 1H body closes back through, the idea is finished. No hoping. No “maybe it reclaims later.”

Break names the side, retest is the entry, stop the other side of the level

The break names the side. I wait for gold to tag the level. That tag is the entry. Stop lives the other side.

XAUUSD sell on the retest after a 2xD break, stop above the level

Same rule on the live chart. Invalid if the next 1H body closes back through. That is the whole management rule.

When it is dead — the reclaim

A reclaim is a confirmed break that gold takes back: a 1H body closes 1×D on the wrong side of the level. The script marks it. I am out. I do not argue with a reclaim on XAUUSD. The playbook shows the fib I use when a sweep sat between the break and the reclaim. A reclaim with no sweep in front of it is not that setup.

Sweep then reclaim fib only prints when a sweep sat between the break and the reclaim

A reclaim with a sweep in front of it gets the green FIB. A reclaim with no sweep is just invalidation. I am out. I do not invent a target.

XAUUSD reclaim closing back through the broken level, setup invalidated

Reclaim = setup dead. That single rule is what kept me from sitting in the twelve worst gold trades in the study.

Where the move can run

After a strong break the script projects FIB levels from the breaking impulse. I use them as a frame, then I manage. In the gold study, about 96 of 100 strong breaks reached 1.272 and about 69 of 100 reached 2.000. A reclaim deletes that red set. The leg failed.

Strong break FIB projections from the impulse origin past the level

0.000 at the base of the run that broke the level. 1.000 at L. Everything above is projected past the break.

It does not repaint. Here is exactly why.

Most indicators that look incredible on a replay are lying to you. They redraw history once the bar is finished, so the arrow is always in the right place after the fact and never in the right place live. That is the single biggest reason traders stop trusting tools.

This one waits. A fractal is not confirmed until the bars either side of it have closed, and the wick measurement window closes with it. A break is not a break until a 1H body has closed beyond the threshold. While price is through the level but the hour is still running, the line goes dotted and the row says BREAKING — it tells you it has not confirmed yet instead of pretending it has.

What you see on the last bar is what you would have seen at the time. That is the whole design, and it is also why it will sometimes confirm a move slightly later than your eye does. I would rather be late and honest than early and wrong.

The filter I will not negotiate on gold

SELL XAUUSD

Price below the 50 and the 100 and the 200. Strong break + retest. Anything else, I stand aside.

BUY XAUUSD

Price above the 50 and the 100 and the 200. Same wick map, opposite permission. Mixed stack = no trade.

Sell gold only below the 50 100 and 200, buy gold only above all three

Sell: under all three. Buy: over all three. Mixed stack, I pass. The wick map does not override the location.

The indicator draws the wick map. The moving-average stack is the location filter I trade it with. Both are in the playbook you get after checkout.

What $155 actually buys

One gold trade you talk yourself out of — or one wick you should never have chased — already costs more than $155 on a serious XAUUSD account. I am not pricing this against other indicators. I am pricing it against the next sloppy gold wick.

The usual deal

$49 a month, forever. That is $588 a year.

Stop paying and the script disappears off your chart.

Forty pairs, so it was tuned for none of them.

Arrows with no rule for entry, invalidation or size.

Repaints on replay and you find out with real money.

This one

$155 once. It is yours after that.

Updates included. No renewal, no hostage note.

One market. Gold. Measured on gold's own behaviour.

A written rule for the break, the entry, and the exit.

Confirms on closed bars only, and says so while it waits.

What I will actually promise you. I cannot promise you money — nobody honest can, and anyone who does is selling you something worse than an indicator.

What I promise is delivery: your TradingView username on the invite-only script within 24 hours, the playbook in your inbox immediately, every future update included at no cost, and a reply from a real person at contact@precisionautomation.tech if any of that does not happen. That part is on me.

How it works

  1. Pay $155 once on Stripe. Enter your TradingView username exactly.
  2. I invite that username within 24 hours. You also get the gold playbook link in the receipt email.
  3. Open TradingView → Invite-only scripts. Drop it on XAUUSD, 1H or lower. Read the playbook before the next London session.

Who should close this tab

Straight answers

Does it repaint?
No. Fractals confirm only after the bars either side have closed, and a break needs a closed 1H body beyond the threshold. While price is through the level and the hour is still running it shows a dotted line and a BREAKING tag rather than a finished signal.
Which timeframe do I run it on?
1H or lower — 5m, 15m, 1H. The levels come from 4H and 8H fractals but the yardstick and every confirmation is measured on 1H bars, so above 1H it will not draw the map. Put it on XAUUSD 1H and leave it there.
Will it work on EURUSD, indices or crypto?
It will draw. I would not trade it. Every number in it was measured on gold, and gold's wick behaviour is not EURUSD's. I sell it as a gold tool because that is the only market I can defend it on.
I am fairly new. Is this too advanced?
The concept is one idea — a body has to close a full displacement beyond the wick before the break counts. The playbook gives you the break, the retest entry, the invalidation and the moving-average filter in writing. What it will not do is think about risk for you. If you have no position sizing rule yet, fix that first.
Is this a signal service or a bot?
Neither. It is a chart indicator. It marks sweeps, strong breaks, reclaims and projections on your own TradingView chart. It never places a trade and nobody messages you calls.
What does “lifetime” actually mean?
One payment, permanent invite on the script, and every update I publish to it. No renewal date and no second invoice. If TradingView ever changed such that the script could not be hosted there, I would email everyone on the buyer list — I am not going to quietly disappear.
How do I get access after paying?
Stripe asks for your TradingView username at checkout. Type it exactly as it appears on your profile. I add that name to the invite-only script by hand, within 24 hours, and TradingView notifies you. The playbook link is in your receipt immediately, so you can read the rules while you wait.
Do you offer refunds?
Because access is granted by hand and cannot be taken back off a chart you have already read, sales are final once your username is invited. If something goes wrong on my side — the invite does not arrive, the script does not appear — email me and I will fix it or refund it. Ask me anything you want before you buy instead of after.

XAUUSD only

Gold will print another displacement wick this week whether you can read it or not. The only question is whether you have a rule ready when it does.
